Nose work

There doesn’t appear to be any traffic about nose work/training lately. Seems a good way to stimulate the dog mentally. I’ve read the previous posts and wonder if many golden owners train this skill? If so, and advice on starting? Thank you.

Our girl does it and just loves it. We are having our second local trial next weekend to hopefully earn her Advanced title. I’m in Canada so I think our program may be different than what is done in the US as we follow the rules of the Sporting Detection Dogs Assocation.

We practice it in our 4-H training. Our trainer competes in nose work and it’s usually the reward at the end of a good class. Dogs love it!
