Remembering jasper

This is my baby jasper and we lost him 2 months ago. He was 12.5 yrs old. He had a large run or on his front leg that burst and required surgery but because it was attached to muscle, he wouldn’t get all movement back and he already had bad hind legs from blastomycosis. It was the hardest decision of our lives but we didn’t want him to suffer. I miss him so much.

What a beautiful sugar-faced boy. I am so sorry for your loss. Most all of us have experienced the pain of losing a piece of our heart. You will always miss him but it won't always hurt so badly.

Your Jasper looks like a real trooper. Thank you for making the ultimate loving decision by making sure he didn't suffer at the end. 12.5 years is a good run on a Golden. In your tough days ahead I hope you will shine some light on how lucky you were to have a loving and long run with Jasper. He made a great movie of memories for you. I hope the film plays for a long time.

Godspeed to Jasper.

Ouch! Sooner or later, all of us on this site lose one of these amazing creatures. Jasper was a handsome ole boy. So sorry you had to put him down, but know that you made the best decision for your loving friend. We had to do the same with our 11-year-old Golden, River, this past December. It's never an easy experience to go through.

I do hope you will soon be able to recover from your loss. Time does help, though it takes time to eventually realize that life does go on. Try to focus on all the amazing years Jasper shared with you. You may even want to write a tribute in memory of Jasper. Doing so helped me when we lost River. God Bless!

River, RIP Ole Boy, 5/04/08 -12/15/18
