I thought dogs were NEVER allowed on the beaches here on PEI. Well, I took the kids to the beach this weekend and there was a sign stating that dogs are NOT allowed on the beach from April 1-October 15. It's better than nothing, but it's going to be pretty cold to take Max there in the 'okay' time. Mind you, when we were there we seen 3 dogs off leash at the beach. I wouldn't want to chance getting the fine!
It's such a shame that he's missing out on all that fun! It was VERY windy but we still had fun. Here are some pics I thought I'd share
Oh I miss PEI...I lived there when I was younger, both parents from there. My dad actually lives on Chelton beach. I really get homesick seeing these...:uhoh:
I love that gorgeous red sand from PEI. I'll bet if you talk to some local dog people they could point you to beaches where dogs could run off leash. You might also find times of day when there are fewer people are on the beach.

Thanks I've asked a few people but they don't take their dogs to the beach:doh:. I'm still on the hunt though! There are park wardens who patrol the beaches at all hours, so I'm sure I would be the one to get caught regardless of the time of day. It's really too bad. Not far from the beach in the pics there is a fresh water pond...this is off limits to furry friends too. Doesn't seem very fair. In all my life I've never seen a human anywhere near this pond. LOL
Oh goodness...I am sure their cottage was very close to dad's. His place was his summer home but had it winterized so stays there all year. I wonder if we ever met? hahaha
Yeah no kidding heh? I always get such a kick out of listening to my parents talk to fellow islanders. All you hear it " Now, who is that? Oh she married a Gallant from Charlottetown....you know, grandfather was Gus! You remember...Gus who married Anne who was the daughter of the farmer from Bedeque....lost their son in a tragic car crash back in 1956..."
" Oh, fur heavens sake!!!!! Yes!!!"
