Has anyone seen a rash like this before?

I have an 11 month old who has developed a mysterious rash. It began as a few puss filled bumps on the base of her tail. We went off to the vet and received a gentamicin antibiotic spray. A few days later I noticed the rash had continued to spread. We were prescribed cefodoxime pills and I started using chlorhexidibe duoxo mousse which we had from a phase of puppy acne. And yet still the rash has traveled and now goes all the way up her spine. It is exclusively on her back along the spine. It has also changed and no longer consists of bumps but flat, dark, almost dirty looking patches. When we first went in she was given a cytopoint injection and the vet’s thought was fleas, she was current on her anti-flea. I will figure out how to post a picture. Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer, I am really at a loss.

There’s misshaped dark, slightly crusty marks run up her spine.

Looks like staph maybe. My last golden had it and I didn't know what it was. I changed my dogs shampoo to tropicleans oatmeal based and it cleared finally. Never saw a vet for it but I've seen other post that other dogs got it checked by a vet and it was staph for them and looked exactly like it.

My dog has that now. Diagnosed as staph infection, put on oral antibiotic. That spot was found over the right hip and on the right foot but there were other symptoms---dandruff along the spine, random skin eruptions. I am also using Douxo pads. It is mostly cleared up.

It's likely the photo but I do not see a rash really- it looks like flea dirt to me, and if I had to guess secondarily I would guess at a bacterial infection but I really don't see that just going on your description. Your best bet is vet for skin scrape and just get it gone...

Thank you for the responses, I can say with 99% certainty this is not flea related as I have checked her religiously with a flea comb. A staph infection seems like it could be likely but the patches are not raised or red, there is also no hair loss. It almost looks like the infection is in the hair follicles itself though

On a dogs skin, it's exactly like how a staph infection looks like though. So the best thing to do is take her to a vet and have them do a skin scrape.
