Anyone from Tampa area go to Honeymoon Island?

We want to take Jack somewhere for dogs to play and since we love the beach my dad told us about the pet beach at Honeymoon Island, just wondering if anyone went there and thought it would be a good place to take our 6 month old golden. We found a park called Wall Springs near Tarpon Springs that allowed pets but he just sat on his leash and was not able to really play and run and it was killing him watching the kids have fun and just have to sit there! Ofcourse right now, when we are brave enough to start taking Jack out with the family, it is freezing here, we moved from NY last year to get away from the cold!!

BTW Honeymoon Island is LEASHED ONLY and you get a ticket if they're off. Also the burrs are bad. Let's meet at Dunedin dog park All fenced... five minutes away... it's off Keene and, um... Solon?
