You ate what????

DD and I came home the other day from shopping. Dogs were home alone for about 2 hours. As DD walked to dining room I heard a gasp. Went over to see what Tucker had been up to. I had left a 5 lb. bag of flour in a bag on the kitchen floor. I had NO IDEA that dogs would eat flour! Tucker ripped it open, and dragged it into the dining room to nosh in comfort on his bed. Below is the scene we saw. I guess he ate a good amount of it--threw up in his crate overnight and then had a massive poop.

When we opened the gate, Tess dashed in, thinking she had missed out on something tasty, so she got dusted too! I vacuumed it all up, but I think it burnt out the vac! (Maybe not--have to try it again...)

So, beware--GRs will eat flour!

Sorry but I had to laugh. Sounds like something my pups would do. I know several of my foster pups would hve done that. Hope everyone feels ok tomorrow.

You can almost hear him say: "I know what this looks like, but let me explain..."

Actually we had a pretty good laugh about it.. It was fairly easy to clean up and it didn't incur major vet bills, so I retained my sense of humor. Just never thought he'd be interested in flour...

I think Tucker is giving you the hint to make some homemade dog biscuits

Toss some peanut butter and milk into that flour to make a dough. roll out to 3/8". Place on baking sheet. Cut into rectangles and bake, instant dog cookies!
