Good morning,

Been having an issue where even though I changed all my settings in my control panel and unclicked unsubscribe to all the threads as described by a moderator in how to unsubscribe, it's still sending me random e-mails about threads I haven't posted to in weeks. When I go under my CP to see if I'm still subscribed to anything, there is absolutely nothing, so I'm not sure what else to do. Please advise, as it's driving me crazy getting 10-15 e-mails in my inbox for threads I'm not even actively participating in. Thanks!

under the user CP go to your Edit options settings and scroll down to "Default Thread Subscription Mode" - on the drop down menu click on No Email Notification.

Yes, I did select that already and made sure it said no e-mails. I changed that a few weeks ago, and this morning it's still set to that in my CP so I'm not sure why the site continues to send me e-mails, hence my post. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Also, wouldn't selecting the do not subscribe by default work as well? You shouldn't be getting any e-mails OR subscription notifications on the board with that option, right? Or am I misinterpreting that wrong?

I believe at the bottom of each email is an unsubscribe from this thread link

so sorry lesooim - I saw that there were more responses under the statistics and did not come back to read. I assumed that it worked. It must have been one of those computer blunders. I recently changed my setting due to all the emails and it worked.

Glad Rob could change the settings!

If anyone esle is getting messages of posts and they want to unsubscribe go to your User CP and click into Edit Options. Click on Default Thread Subscription mode. Then click on Do Not subscribe. This will now be your defaulf instead of the 1 week default of the board.
If you wish to later subscribe to a single thread here and there you can go up to Thread Tools when you are in a certain thread and subscribe to just that one.

I haven't touched the settings since you changed them for me, but FYI to anyone who was subscribed to threads before changing their settings and continue to receive e-mails from old subscriptions (I got some last night), I ended up having to go to the individual threads and unsubscribing from them manually since it seems that changing the settings from the CP doesn't change all the subscriptions for each thread. Thanks!
