Dasuquin With MSM for Large Dogs (60 lbs and over): Glucosamine Hydrochloride (900mg), Methylsulfonomethane (MSM) (800mg), Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate (350mg), Avocado/Soybean Unsaponifiables (90mg). Also contains Microcrystalline cellulose, artificial roast beef flavor, natural and artificial cheese flavor, dried brewer’s yeast, gum resin, tea, magnesium stearate, soy protein isolates, mixed tocopherols, soy lecithin, silicon dioxide, natural and artificial flavoring
How it works: Dasuquin with MSM's active ingredients include avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), MSM, chondroitin sulfate, and glucosamine. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets. The glucosamine is used in conjunction with sodium chondroitin sulfate, an important structural component of cartilage that provides much of its resistance to compression.

as of 9.25.09 - Liberty has been taking 2 tablets a day for 1 week...too soon to say for certain that they are doing anything although she seems to feel more spunky tearing around after Trace like a crazy girl this morning
What I am looking to see is if she regains some muscle on her bum leg. To me, that will be an indicator that she is feeling better enough to use her legs more equally.
After 30 days I can drop her down to 1 tablet a day and if I see a worsening...can keep her on 2 a day.
My vet sells Dasuquin for $71.00 per 150 tablets.
Making the tablets $0.47 each...
Ive seen DasuquinMSM as high as $112.00 from 1-800petmeds. Shop around!
