Description:
|
This debut novel by David Wroblewski is about a young boy, born mute. The once peacful home, and the family dog breeding and trraining business, is disrupted by tragedy and the return of Edgar's Uncle Claude. The book chronicles the tale of a grieving and confused Edgar, who runs away from home, living in the wilderness and coming of age with 3 dogs. It is a beautifully written novel, with an ending that will surprise.

The book is totally captivating with several twists and turns you never expect. It has intrigue, mystery and Edgar and his dogs capture your heart. I kept wrapping my mind around the book's dramatic ending long after finishing the book. I finally came to terms with the ending and the story leading up to the ending. This is in my top 5 best books ever read.

Great read....
I am still mulling over the end and am not quite satisfied.
However, loved the characters and, of course, the dogs...

I really enjoyed the book. It was extremely well written. Like LibertyME, I was not satisfied with the ending. It left me feeling unsettled.
