| So very sorry of your loss of Oakley. I don't really have any advice for you as my family are going through exactly the same as you almost 11 months on since losing our golden Daisy You're right though, just take it a day at a time. Time will help you a little, and will help you to focus on the happy memories that you have. Seger will help you too. It really is so hard losing someone so precious to your family, try and remember that Oakley will always be watching over you and your family.

| I am so sorry for your loss. I know for me it's been just one day at a time. The emptiness is still there but I just keep holding on to the wonderful memories that our boy gave to us before he left. They will always have that special place in our hearts that will always keep them alive within us.

| One day at a time. Its like losing a human loved one but maybe a little worse because the relationship you have with a dog is different. Its that sad part about being an animal owner; they don't live as long as we do so we will have to experience their deaths. It will get better.

| I am so sorry, Carol. I wish I had the magic words, the formula, to ease your tremendous pain - a pain I know so well. My beloved Rusty went less than 36 hours between diagnosis and Rainbow Bridge, and it knocked me sideways. It hurt so much that I felt like I couldn't breathe, would suffocate and drown in my grief and pain. I longed to feel his soft ears, to rumple his fur, to hear his grumble of contentment, or even a huff of complaint, and the silence was killing me. I feel impotent writing these words, and they seem trite, but time does heal. You have Seger; love him. Love him with all your heart, every fiber of your soul. Celebrate each day, every moment with him. Difficult as it may be, look for Oakley in his brother's eyes and you will find him. Those we love from the depths of our souls are never far away. Oakley is here, he is with you, and he will lick your wounds until you smile again. He knows how much you love him, and he is returning that love ten-thousandfold even now - from Rainbow Bridge. Holding you close in my thoughts. |

| -hugs- Live one day at a time and remember the good days. Time is the best thing for healing though the pain never truly goes away. There will be happier days for you in the future. So sorry again for your loss. Run free, Oakley.

| Very sorry for your loss of your Oakley. It is so hard to lose an innocent beloved pet. Often it is more painful than losing a close friend or relative. (Did I say that out loud?) Time will make things better and the things that make you cry today will make you smile in time.
