I just got through reading about the Acadians and how that was the first attempt by the US in destroying a whole population that laid the ground work for what we did to the Indians. Intersting reading.

Yeah. That island I take Oakly to is where Champlain and Dumont stayed back in 1604. The decided it was too **** cold here so they sailed north to Nova Scotia.

76% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!

I was torn on the fizzy beverage question cause I always just called it coke but after a few years in Indiana I'm saying pop. I had northern neighbors as a kid and it used to drive me nuts that they called it pop, sounded like such a dumb word for it. Now I'm one of them. lol

I don't get it? Most of my answers were categorized as "Northeast" and a few even acknowledged NJ/NYC area, a couple were common throughout the US, and none were categorized as common to the south.... so how am I "48% Yankee - barely into the Yankee category"?? I bet it was a Dixie done wrote this quiz... I dare say it might be a touch biased.... lol!!
