Fury, My Friend Flicka, Lassie and Rin Tin Tin... Cartoons were on only on Saturday morning. Later on in the mid 60's (?) was a show about a boy and his pet bear, I can see the name, taste it, but not remember it. Sky King, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke with Ms Kitty, and Bonanza: westerns were big. Saturday afternoons were the old Bowery Boy movies watched with my Grandmother. Gumby in the morning for about ten minutes before you left for school and of course 'Our Gang'.

Do you remember "Have Gun Will Travel," featuring a gunfighter called Paladin?

Oh, i have nothing but good memories of the late 50s and 60s.

I remember watching Peyton Place with Ryan O'Neil and Mia Farrow. And wasn't it on two nights a week? I must have been a freshman or so.

Saturday nights my parents would watch Lawrence Welk and I think there was wrestling show on later on -- my grandpa would watch that.

And does anyone remember S & H green stamps and all the FREE things they gave you at stores, gas stations and I even remember glasses in boxes of detergent.

I think banks even gave you interest on your savings. What a novel idea!

I remember S & H Green stamps! We used them!

We'd watch The Ed Sullivan Show on Sunday nights. Yep, cartoons were only on Saturday morning.

Anybody remember Rawhide starring Eric Fleming and Clint Eastwood?
Alias Smith and Jones?

All of my favorite shows were from the 50s and 60s. Bonanza, Hogan's Heroes, Get Smart, Wagon Train, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Big Valley, Andy Griffith Show, McHale's Navy, Mr. Ed, Lassie, and a bunch of others.

70s was definitely Alias Smith and Jones. And The Six Million Dollar Man.

Of the 80s, my favs are MacGyver, A-Team, and Airwolf.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here listen to old radio shows? I have SO many favorites! But Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar tops them all. Bob Bailey was an exceptional actor.

I don't remember listening to radio shows. I remember we had one of those really old radios -- it was huge and I think it even had a short-wave channel to it. I still have my Mom's "clock-radio" that was on top of the fridge. I would have that on while doing my homework at the kitchen table.

I used to adore Topper! I didn't think anyone anywhere remembered that show. There's a cartoon show on now called "The Fairly Odd Parents" that, when it launched, I was convinced was based on Topper. It very different but there are similarities...

Anyone remember Barney Miller? There were so many old shows that were a lot of fun.
