Question Any good shampoo for puppies !!!!

Hi,

Can anyone name a couple of good puppy shampoo please? I got Hartz Infusions Moisturizing Vitamin Shampoo for Lexa and she's kind of scratching herself but not that much. I'm just concern the shampoo might have dried her skin.

And yes, house destruction is already started...

I use veterinary formula for red dogs. it smells great, is all natural & has made Layla's coat very deep & lustrous. I see that your girl is very light, they also offer one for white dogs. I get it at Feeders Supply, I'm sure it is available at other retailers near you.

I use DILUTED (with water) Mane N Tail on all my Goldens. Always have. IF you use a conditioner, make sure you dilute it and rinse well ... rinse rinse rinse.

The key is diluting the shampoo and conditioner so you can rinse it out easily. She may be itchy because you aren't getting it all out!

Mane N Tail is at WalMart....Tractor Supply, etc.

For the show dogs I use Chris Christensen products.....or Plush Puppy products, and yes.....I dilute the heck out of them!

I really like a product called Earthbath. It is not tested on animals, tear free, and 100% biodegradable. www.earthbath.com

I like the idea of diluting the shampoo and rinsing a lot and will consider these brands you provided if I find them here. I honestly am not positive about the baby or any human shampoo because I think they have different PH level than dog shampoos.

I use the Eqyss micro-tek. ( www.eqyss.com ) They have several different products and I've been well pleased with them all. You also dilute them so they go a long way.

I actually like the Magic Coat brand shampoos (usually Pet Supplies Plus). They run about $6-$7. They work really good for Nellie, I also like the Crazydog shampoos (if you like fruity smells ) Oh yeah and the regular Fresh-n-Clean, we use at the kennel I work at, works pretty good too

Since I have been making handmade soaps for years I know what ingredients must be present to make bar and liquid soaps.
The key ingredients are; Lye, a liquid (water, goat milk etc) and a fat such as rendered animal fats or oils.
You want a soap that is low in ph.

Here is a recipe I found on-line that seems to be very popular.

1 pint ivory liquid dish soap or dove liquid dish soap (I would use the dove)

1 pint of water

1 pint apple cider

4 ounces glycerin (available at you local pharmacy)

Mix all ingredients together
