| Update on Hurley... He has been acting more and more like himself - we went upstairs to our own beds last night, he did great. He ate dinner with the other dogs last night, though it took three tries for him to finish. He is still not eating well but jumping back up on the furniture again and running around the yard. We went to the Vet this morning, PCV level is normal again, jaundice is gone, bilirubin normal but his albumin is dangerously low and ALKP still dangerously high. His white blood count is still pretty high too, so he was started on Cipro for 2 weeks. She wanted to hospitalize him he is in danger of getting fluid in the belly but so far has none...and we agreed it would stress him too much. If he does get fluid I need to rush him back in...so praying he doesn't. What he needs most at this point is to start eating again but it is always very difficult after and IBD flare and since we have to stay low protein there is nothing he really likes. I guess I will keep feeding him toaster waffles, pancakes, etc. LOL. Please keep him in your thoughts still - we are in no way out of danger yet, it is going to be a long and bumpy ride. Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and support. Julie

| Thank you all, Hurley was doing pretty good Friday and Saturday, ate the most I have been able to get into him the past 2 1/2 weeks by far. Today was not such a good day...Last night he got his last pill stuck in his throat, I gave him a treat to make sure it went down, he continued to gag a bit, so I gave him a piece of bread and waited a few minutes continuing to massage his throat. He seemed fine so I took him upstairs, he slept ok but this morning would not eat or drink a thing. I had to shove his pills down his throat again and it was a real fight. I held off on the antibiotic because he needs food with it...He laid on his side like a dead dog all morning - it was a bit frightening. I could not get him to eat anything until dinner time tonight, then he ate 1/2 cup of kibble and a 1/2 can of dog food. Not nearly enough for a 90 lb. dog but it will have to do. I gave him a snack tonight of a waffle...I am afraid to push too much into him at one time. He seems fine tonight, more energetic than this morning...I will take him on Tuesday for his blood work and am hoping things are going back to normal again.

| Hurley Praying for Hurley that things will be back to normal. Can you feed him something more appealing to him, like ham, chicken, or canned dog food, or can he tolerate it?
