Hello, it's me again! I can't believe I am needing to post here again so soon.

Please can you keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. A relative is going through some serious health issues at the moment and has just been hospitalised and the main suspicion of diagnosis is an inherited one. If it comes back positive, it will have a huge impact on our whole family, most of whom I suspect aren't realising the impact of it all. I keep repeating that sentence to myself, 'will have a huge impact on our whole family' and really struggling with the reality of the situation. It's a rare chance..but still, unfortunately, very real.
I can't quite settle down to doing anything useful, my mind is too full of trying to make some sense of what's happening and if the result is negative, the fact our relative is still as unwell, just with a different label if they find out what it is.

If it does turn out to be an inherited condition. Be sure to seek out a qualified genetics counselor. Worrying about this without good input can be scary.
