| Thanks so much everyone! Jersey came out of surgery about an hour and 1/2 ago (I just got home from work). Everything went great. The offending tooth was removed. It was just starting to show signs of infection, so he'll be on an antibiotic. The rest of them were cleaned and are looking decent. The most interesting part, though, is that his lump disappeared. I tried to help the tech find it this morning so we could get him shaved in the right place, but after 30 minutes of searching I had to give up. The vet tried finding it shortly after, and again when they put him on the table, and again after they knocked him out... and nothing. We knew there was inflammation around it and he had to be on a steroid/antihistamine for the last 10 days or so because something set some crazy allergy off and he was having problems with his eyes. He finished that on Monday. So we're assuming that the steroid knocked out the inflammation and that it either shrunk so that we can't feel it or the body was able to process and dispose of it. Again, we knew it was benign (either basal cell or cutaneous something or other from the aspiration we did a while back), and it was definitely there when we saw the vet to get the medicine 2 weeks ago. So I'm going to chalk it up to a little Christmas miracle (less shaving! no stitches or staples!! and best of all no cone of shame!!!) and hope that it doesn't come back now that he's off the medicine. Thanks again for all your good thoughts. It means a lot to both of us! Julie, Jersey and Oz

| Thanks again everyone! Jersey's doing pretty well today. He's not quite sure what to make of me running his food through the blender and he seems to be a little sore, but all in all he's recovering well. Quote:
