...and would really appreciate you guys keeping them in your thoughts. My one aunt is around 60ish and unexpectedly lost her husband (one of my favourite people in the world) in May due to cancer. This was less than a year after they moved out to the coast to retire. Now, she's diagnosed with breast cancer and has gone in for a mastectomy tomorrow. The good news is that the cancer hasn't spread.

My other aunt is only 35 years old. She's married and has three young children, all under the age of ten. One is still in diapers. Her cancer has spread and it's not looking good. She wanted to go through the holidays and not tell anyone until after but her doctor basically told her she had to tell her husband right away...which happened to be on his birthday - one week ago.

I've somehow been able to push this aside while studying for finals but now that I'm done...I can't stop thinking about it. Not everyone in our extended family has been told so we can't reach out for comfort or support quite yet...not even my aunt's children know.

So please everyone, keep my aunts in your prayers...thanks so much.

Breast cancer has come along way in keeping women alive. My mom died at 47 from breast cancer but that was 38 years ago. It doesn't mean a death sentence anymore. It sucks big time but it isn't a death sentence anymore. Prayers... Stay strong..

I'm sorry both of your Aunt's are going through this. My thoughts are with them both as they fight this disease
