Omg they just reminded me on CNN that pictures of these kids are going to be released once known who they are. My heart just sunk knowing that these innocent faces are going to be plastered all over and give a face to this horrific day. From what is said if sounds like it was a kindergarten room 3-4 yr olds this is not fair

These dam people that do this sort of thing, and take lives,the familys are in pain more than any of us can imagine.

Apparently, the shooter's mother was a kindergarten teacher at the school. She wasn't there today, and he killed her at home and then went to the school and shot up her classroom--how awful!

He had trouble getting through his statement...kept tearing up.

Also wanted to send thanks and prayers to all the first responders. I've been told that the situations dreaded most by fire fighters and police officers are those tragedies involving children. Many never fully recover, and a high percentage leave their work as a result. For all those wonderful heroes who dash into emergencies--you have my heartfelt thanks and admiration. And prayers for your healing.

Can you imagine how many of those responders probably had relatives in that school?

I am just horrified today. My mother has been calling me all day too from RI.

I want also thank the teachers and other school employees who were heroes today.

I'm trying not to cry right now at work, I can't believe someone would honestly hurt a child, especially a 4 or 5 year old, because they were mad at an unrelated adult. It's horrifying.

2 more children died at the hospital on an updated report... I am speechless and cannot even comprehend this .. one co-worker had a child at the school but he is safe and in his parents embrace ...
