Lib has had a hard week...

She has rallied in the past.
In June, I was certain I would be saying goodbye.....and she proved us all wrong and lived a wonderful summer with great quality of life. I am still holding out hope that she may rally again.

Her pain is well under control with Tramadol.
She just has little strength for getting around....and when she does is clearly not herself...she is eating very little. She will eat Nutrical and has enjoyed some baby food. She is drinking normally.

We have a 14 week old labrador pup boarding here now....who will forever have a special place in my heart as he has gone to her and snuggled up several times today getting me all teary eyed.

I've got my rally cap on and my thoughts are with you..maybe, just maybe that lab pup might help spur Liberty on and we'll see her rally back once again.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

Smiling this morning!! Libs just crawled up onto the couch beside me!!! The same girl who barely lifted her head yesterday...and preferred to sleep separately/away from the busy-ness of the house.

This girl has the spirit of a tiger behind her soft brown eyes...

She ate half rations this morning....very slowly made it down the steps (Im still using a sling on the steps) had her morning constitution...and slowly made it back up the steps...and EXPECTED her morning cookie!

This is not what I was expecting this morning - her pain had increased after I posted and I had her maxed out on Tram through the night and she was still panting most of the night...we were bracing ourselves for an awful day today....but ::knock wood:: she is maintaining and dare I say even improving.

All of the dogs are napping as I write...Im looking forward to seeing if she is interested in a walk when she wakes...

Tripe is on today's grocery list....she is on a blended diet...the house is gonna smell wonderful when I put that in the NINJA! Anything for you sweet Lib!
