Yesterday sucked...

Not prepared to say she is through this flare...but she is acting better this morning...yesterday she was darn near bed-bound. She would not voluntarily change resting positions, (I was moving her body position throughout the day, bringing her water). She was not volunteering to go to the door...I was slinging her in and out of the house to pee until about 8pm.

However at bedtime I got her outside and she wanted to walk down the street...came in stopped for her puppy biscuit.... followed me to the bedroom and put her nose on the bed. I lifted her onto the bed.

When I woke I noticed that she had not changed position all night. :-(
I was really worried.

Got her out to potty - she walked the street and at one point stopped under a streetlight and started to perk her ears as she noticed the frost on the grass reflecting the light from the street light... She LOVES her "sparkles". I got all misty-eyed. We stayed and looked at them for a while then walked back home...at one point she heard a neighborhood dog bark and she woofed back! Carried her in the house, prepared the dog's breakfast...and she ATE!

So far this morning she has not wanted to lay down...she has been toddling around the house. When I showered she even 'thought' about laying in 'her spot' but couldnt...

We have been out for another short walk down the street she kept her tail up and level for most of the walk. Im under no illusions, this is a serious flare of symptoms (the most serious since June), but Im must say I sure am glad to see her up, moving and reacting to her environment..

One day at a time.....

Mary, sending positive thoughts for your sweet girl and you. Sometimes, it's one hour at a time, cherishing each and every "now I really do want a cookie, Mom" moment. Wishing you loads of those moments.....
