The appt. went well. No seizures. Tomorrow we have an EEG scheduled. I had to reschedule something I had going. Update about the appt. is on my caringbridge site. Basically the doctors will go off of the results of this EEG to decide whether to decrease meds at this point.
Thanks for all the support.
p.s. my ingrown toenail was taken care of. Ouch.

I pray that the Neuro is happy with what he sees and Audrey continues to make progress. I noticed you mentioned that your sons are on the autism spectrum and are having some issues at school. It is a lot, you have so much on your plate. I know juggling appointments alone can be overwhelming much less dealing with all the other responsibilities of running a home and overseeing a family. You have my utmost respect for continuing to be a fighter. Please take care of yourself too. Don't forget that they always say "In the event of an emergency, put your own oxygen mask on first, otherwise you can't help the others." I know you don't have the luxury of hiding under your bed, but I wanted to tell you how much I admire you. I'm sure you're not perfect, none of us are, but I wish I could meet you in real life. You sounds like an amazing woman, a truly dedicated mother. Bless you and your family.

You just made me !! That seems to be very easy lately, but thank you for the compliment!! I always tell people that it is good that we live so far apart because if we didn't, you wouldn't want to know me!! I know. Sorry.
Thank you so much! It is very overwhelming at times. You are the third person to pay me such a high compliment in the last week. Someone must know what they are talking about! I wish I could give you a big hug but a virtual one will have to do! and a

New update:

Ok, the doctor has been very busy (being in the hospital there for the month, I can totally understand this). He read the EEG this morning. The big news is:
NO SEIZURES RECORDED!!
That is good news obviously. We're starting to decrease meds starting with the strongest meds (or the one that is the harshest on her). It will be a slow process and of course we'll be watching her like a hawk. So forgive us if we are a little protective of her. They say that seizures are generally harder to stop the second time around and considering she had to be put into an induced coma to stop them the first time, I cannot imagine what would happen the second time.
Some news that is not so peachy is that this EEG showed the same results as the last one (done at Gillette). It showed no seizure activity but it also showed some 'slow' areas showing injury to the left frontal lobe of the brain. I was unable to speak with the doctor today to ask if this injury could heal itself or if it will always be there.
Audrey is doing very well. She is enjoying school and seeing her friends at school. Thank you all for your support.

Thank you for the updates.
Yay for no more seizures! (& no more ingrown toenail! Ouch!)
You & your family continue in my thoughts and prayers.
Like Kristy said, " put your own oxygen mask on first..."
Take care of yourself, remember to breathe.
We are thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.

No Seizures, that is great! I hope the positives outweigh any negatives, one day at a time. One foot in front of the other, stay strong and positive! Continued thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for updating us, I am glad that no seizures showed up. I am sorry that you didn't get to have time to talk with the doctor, it's so hard to have unanswered questions. I am continuing to pray, I am so sorry that you have such great fears and worries for your child. I am thinking of you all.
