Yes, she will be back at school tomorrow. She has been complaining about a bit of pain but she did have a very active day yesterday (out with me with errands).

Audrey is still seizure free as far as we know. She is doing well in school and for the most part is behaving like Audrey. Some things about her are different. If she doesn't know what to do she generally pulls or plugs her ears. Cognitively she isn't quite there. She has a hard time controlling her emotions as well - be it belly roll laughter or intense crying. Today we went to an amusement park and about mid-afternoon she announced she was ready to go home. That surprised us but we did follow her lead. She was very overstimulated today and had a rough evening. It was very hard to calm her down, but hopefully a good night sleep will do wonders. This week is riddled with doctor appointments that hopefully will answer questions. Questions that I hope to finish writing up soon! LOL Big appointments. Things dealing with continued restrictions and what is going to happen in the future (testing etc). She continues to love on Kali every chance she gets.

She's in my thoughts quite often. Brave little girl. How is dealing with the changes in herself? Is she accepting or getting upset that she's not the same? So glad you've got Kali there to comfort her.

It's 3:30am and neither her nor I have slept at all tonight. She has a cold and was overstimulated yesterday at the park. Good thing she has a routine checkup at her peds. office tomorrow. It's going to be a LONG day. Hopefully she (we) can fall asleep.

Thanks for asking. Today she fell at school getting into her snowpants. The aide reported that BOTH of her hands shook for like 3 seconds. Tomorrow (tuesday) is her big Neuro doctor followup. I hope I get some answers. I just have to remember the right questions.
I did update my caringbridge site explaining what encephalitis is. I have been very busy. BOTH my boys are diagnosed with being on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and they are having issues at school. I am a very busy person. My feet hurt and so I have an appt. with my podiatrist on Wednesday. I have plantar fasciitis and an ingrown toenail on one foot and bunion issues on the other. OUCH!
