Just found this forum! My wife and I have had 5 goldens over the past 25 years; 3 males and 2 females. We just lost our female about six months ago and are now ready to get another as a buddy for our 9 year old male Riggs.

I think I attached a picture from about 8 years ago of Ripley (the female we just lost) and Riggs (the blond one) our current male.

Sorry to hear of your loss of Ripley, but glad to hear that Riggs will be getting a new buddy. Looking forward to welcoming him/her home.

In the mean time please tell us more about Riggs and Ripley and post photos if you have them. We love golden photos and stories.

Hi! welcome! I've just been at the forum for a few weeks and it is totally addicting- the picture pages alone are enough to send you to your breeder for another. I'm sorry you lost your "Ripley", we lost our "Ruby" last summer, and just added 15 week Finn to our family mix of two labs and a cat. Both labs are around your "Riggs" age and while they love having a new brother, (well. "love" might be a little optimistic...) the energy of a puppy is wearing them both out! I have to make sure Finn "gets" that they are done playing sometimes! Again, welcome!
