New puppy! Would love some advice!

So i just got my new boy Castiel..He´s 4 months and i´m inlove with him, he´s such a gentle puppy
I´m not new to dogs but I am new to retrievers and would love to have any advice you guys are willing to give

Also, from the picture, does he look pure? He was a present from my bf and the breeder did not register him due to some moving from the states to here.. or something

Here´s castiel and my girl Maya playing on ´their´ couch

Aw, they are beautiful!!! You will love your golden They are truly a unique personality type. Some of my favorite things about them is that (in general) they tend to be a dog that wants full body contact hugs and snuggles and in the correct temperament they are friendly to everyone, they want to please you which makes training them so easy - mine tricked me into thinking I was actually a decent dog trainer (then my collie boy came along and brought me back down to earth) the retrieving instinct is amazing and can be used for all kinds of fun games at home, they rarely bark or fuss and did I mention they love to snuggle If you are used to dogs then you will do just fine, just remember to invest lots of time with training now (daily practice) and it will pay off big time by the time he is about 2 or 3 and people tell you what a dream dog he is.

Congratulations, looks like you are going to have lots of adventures!

Congrats on your baby! He's a cutie! I can't tell if he's purebred but he's pure cute. have fun! If you want to know something on a particular topic such as retrieving or training, just search for it on here (you'll find lots of threads on many topics) or just start your own question thread.
