Hello everyone,
I just got a beautiful golden from my local breeder.His name is Sasha and he is 45 days old.
I had loads of questions on how to take care of a puppy and train him.
So i joined this forum to make sure i am doing everything right and to learn more!

Could you give me some tips on how to stop Sasha from biting.
I understand he is a puppy and he is teething so he cant control it.
But he is 2 months old now and his teeth are getting sharp.
When he bites us ,it hurts.
I try giving him a chew toy but he gets bored soon!

A trainer showed me the best technique to stop (or almost stop) the biting. Instead of redirecting the puppy to a new toy, you have to actually play with the puppy with the toy. As she noted. Your puppy wants interaction with you, biting you gets a response, even if it's "ouch, no, stop, yikes!" I kept giving my puppy a chew toy and he would come back to chew on me... My trainer noted because I'm more fun, I make more noises etc. LOL So, we either redirect to the new toy and play tug or fetch with it. The other great distraction has been a small antler chew... We found if we hold it firm, he can chew on it and get to those back teeth and he will do this for a while...and completely forget he wants to gnaw on me!
