Hi,

My name is Joe. I will be getting my first male golden retriever/dog here next Friday. Right now I believe I'm going to name him Ace. He's pictured in the avatar as well as attached (he's 4-5 weeks old in the pictures and he's the one on the far left). I've been doing tons of research for the past month from training, tips, and general information and I have found myself constantly going to this website. I figured since I've been coming here so much I might as well sign up. I hope to continue to learn and get advice as this is my first dog. I look forward to talking to everybody!

Hey!!! Welcome to the forum... Keep reading while you have time, pretty soon you won't be able to :) This forum has taught me so much about dogs in general and Goldens in particular, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Looking forward to seeing LOTS of photos of Ace and hearing all his fun adventure stories!

So today was the day I finally picked up Ace! It was about a 2 Hr drive, and he did great! He got a little bit sick, but didn't need to use the bathroom at all. I've gotten him home and he's just been very cautious and scared (as expected). I've been playing with him, introduced him to his cage, and he's been sleeping a lot. The only things that kind of has me concerned is he hasn't used the bathroom much and he hasn't really eaten or drinking anything... He's peed once but that's about it. Should I be concerned about this? Or is this just him being nervous? I attached some photos for everyone's viewing pleasure (sorry about the quality)
