Hi my name is Carla And I have a 7 yr. old Golden named Jackson whom i just found out has Lymphoma cancer. He was to the vet 2 wks ago & hasn't eaten in 12 days except baby food we are force feeding him. Our hearts are broken, & after talking it over we have decided no Chemo & we are going to bring him home on Predison & just love him & make him comfortable!!! My heart aches for all of you who have lost your Goldens,Goldens are special dogs!!!!!!!

Carla, I'm glad you found this forum, it will help the process you are going through to have others who understand to share your feelings and questions with. And sadly there are a lot of people here who have been through this with their beloved golden.

I'm glad you all have had Jackson to the vet and gathered enough information to make the best choice for both your boy and your family. It is so hard.

We would love to see photos of Jackson and here some of his best stories if you would like to share them. Also, if you have any questions about things to do for his comfort, there are a lot of people here who will have very valuable input for you.

My heart goes out to you, I"m truly sorry that you, your family and your boy are going through this.

I am so sorry to all of you who have lost your beloved dogs! My heart aches for you all. This is the hardest thing i've had to go thru in my life. Jackson is the most lovable, & smartest dogs i've known. I just keep crying because i feel so bad for him & i don't know when the end is coming. I keep praying for a miracle & that he isn't suffering. I will try to have my son help me post some pictures of Jackson.(i'm not quite sure how to do that). Thank you for the kind words!
