Hello Everyone!

My name is Rachel and I am from central Wisconsin. I am married and have five children ages 15-7, have 2 Golden's which are my house dogs (Samson (10 mths; male and Molly 1.5 years; female), one yellow lab outside dog (Scooby), two Clydesdales; Conway and Clancey, and two parrots (Blue and Gold Macaw; Koko, and a Double-yellow headed Amazon; Apollo. It can be quite an interesting house at times, mainly loud...lol, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We own a five acre farm.

We are also working through a traumatic brain injury that our eleven year old son sustained this past February. He is home and doing much better but has had to re-learn how to walk, talk, read, and write as this was the area of his brain that was damaged. His talking is getting much better, reading and writing are coming.

How exciting!! I always had Golden's as a kid, but as a kid and even now as an adult, I rescue almost any animal that needs a home. That's why we have so many...lol. One of our Golden's we bought, one we rescued. Our lab and two parrots were rescued.

Good luck with your new addition. Make sure you have Plenty of toys, lol!

Hi and welcome. I am sorry about your son that is terrible but I am glad to hear he is making progress. I hope he makes a full recovery. I too rescue my golden is the first dog I have ever bought. Your house sounds like a fun place to be I like quite time but I also like a busy home. I hope you enjoy it here some really great people on this forum.
