Beautiful dogs. And beautiful colour. We don't get that lovely rich red in GRs here in NZ ....we get the goldens, but not often from registered breeders, mainly from BYBs. The registered breeders are breeding for very pale GRs, which are very popular here. I would love to have had the chance to get one these stunning reds, when I was searching for our puppy.

Years ago, most of the GR's in Hawaii came in from Australia and New Zealand. Dogs coming from the states had to be quarantined (long and $$ to confirm rabies-free). All the GR's were as Dwyllis mentioned where very light creams. I had a Red Boy "Bonzi", and was always getting asked to breed him, or the "Is he an Irish Setter"?

Finn (the boy in my avatar) was a rescued red, but your photo's above really remind me of my first boy Bonzi.

Lovely looking dogs you've got there, you don't see so many of that lovely colour here in the UK - I'm new to owning Goldens but I can't get over how friendly and easy going they are.
