| I found more pictures on my external hard drive today that I would like to share. All these photos were in taken within the year of her passing. She passed away in April so the christmas photos were only taken a few months before. She may look fat but she actually had a big fatty tumor on her side that would never go away. We had surgery to remove it but it came back. It never really bothered her so we just left it alone. I've also attached some videos of her as well to share her personality with all of you. I can't believe I can watch these and smile thinking of her - I thought I could never do that again. She was the best. Thanks for all your kind words! | Welcome to the forum. I am very sorry for your loss of Brandy. She was such a beautiful girl. I added her name to the GRF Goldens that past in 2012 list.

| My very first golden was a red golden and her name was Brandi. She lived to be 15. Your Brandy is beautiful.

| Welcome to the forum, feel free to ask as many questions as you need to. Take your time in finding the right breeder. Brandy looked like she was a sweetheart. You were very lucky to have her that long. Many of us have lost our Goldens younger than ten years old. They are great dogs and this a great group of members on this forum to help you. Mike

| Your Brandy was a beautiful and sweet girl. I am sorry for your loss, but happy you had 17 years with her. We have had two female Goldens. The last, Chewy, a red girl, passed about 2.5 years ago at age 14.5. Shortly after, we got our big boy Max, who is a wonderful dog, but completely different from both girls. Looking forward to your new journey. Have fun. |

I know, I'm very fortunate to have had Brandy for so long. I hear from a lot of people that 17 is a very long time for any large breed. She would have lived longer if her hips didn't give out. She had such a strong heart. I look forward to talking with everyone on this forum and getting great advice. Also sharing my experiences as well. :-) Quote:
