Hello! I am in New York City, and have been reading the forum for a few months now, as we are strongly considering (OK, I think we WILL be) bringing a Golden into our family. I have really enjoyed learning so much by reading all the posts here, and it was an "exploration" for a while, and then a "maybe", and now I think we are ready!
We had the most wonderful cat in the world for eleven years, and he passed two years ago.
We are ready for a new loving member of the family...

Welcome!!!

I have had many different dogs in my life as I have done rescue work for 30+yrs. My favorite breed was the American Pit Bull Terrier. I love them to piece but I wanted to compete in something other than weight pull which is almost non-existant up here. I looked into many different breeds as I wanted to do field work but also rally, agility, nosework and therapy. My love for the golden came back as I did the research. I think that you would love a golden in your home. They are truly remarkable dogs.
