| She did get X-Rays on the knees and hips, and while he said the hips would be graded "Fair" (as opposed to "Good") he didn't see any issues with them. He did move around both legs with her sedated, and the only thing he thought he noticed was what he described as a little looseness in one of her tendons. Other than that, he didn't find much. |

| Just an update on the little one. The limps continue, unfortunately. Here are the symptoms as we've noticed them: -Seems worst early morning and later at night. -Seems to be more noticeable when she walks rather than runs, and especially if she makes a slow turn. We've seen her slightly lift the right hind leg at times. -When she first gets up, she almost hops off the right hind leg sometimes. Then she tends to "walk it off", and after a few minutes you really have to be looking to see the limp. -When she sits, she pushes the right hind leg out a bit. -No changes in diet or behavior otherwise. The Rimadyl has her appetite up, but we knew that would happen. She still wants to chase the ball, and when she's running you can't see any difference in the leg at all. We're very happy with the X-Rays being clear, we just wish we knew what's causing the limp. This is our first dog, so maybe this is the type of thing that can happen and we're just overreacting. |
