Hi everyone we got our golden puppy on October 15 she's 11 weeks old now. Everything is going great! She's even starting to settle down with the puppy biting...thankfully!!! My husband and I have four kids ages 12-3 so our new puppy is a very happy girl. She loves all the children equally. The first few days she seemed very possessive over her food so I started hand feeding her. Now she expects this lol!!! Totally calm and relaxed during eating time with all four kids touching her. She's not so laid back with special treats though. I'm assuming this is natural dog behavior though?? She is very smart and is learning to walk on her leash and she sits on command whenever she's told. She will always sit to get the leash on and before we exit or enter the house. I can't wait to start obedience classes with her.

Hello and welcome =] sounds like you have a lovely girl. On this forum we love love love photos so as soon as u can show us your baby please do hehe. As for the treats my boy use to do that too. What I would do is when i went to feed him a treat I would ask him to sit and then feed him the treat but only when his butt stays to the ground and to help with the biting hard when getting a treat I would put the treat in my fist so he has to lick his way to get it. If you don't mind your hand being slimy this is worth a shot =] good luck and can't wait to see pictures of your girl
