Hello! I just registered to this site in hopes of getting as much information about goldens that I can. My family and I are very interested in getting a puppy for the spring of 2013. Hopefully, everyone can help answer questions and maybe find a breeder! I am very excited to be a part of this site.

A little about me - I am a sophomore in college - double majoring in photography and graphic communication. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I love it here! I horseback ride, coach the local high school dance team, golf, hunt, and LOVE to spend time outside. I have been a huge fan of the golden retriever for years. My stuffed animal golden, named Cody, still sits on my bed! I grew up with neighbors who had goldens that i was absolutely fascinated with. They lost their girl, Mel, whom I grew very fond and attached to a few years ago. My family and I decided it was FINALLY the right time to purchase a dog - I have been asking for one since I was two! I currently have a fish and a horse.

Welcome! You have found the best place for help and information. This forum has been a huge help when one of my dogs was ill, a fun place to share and a great place for training advice. I know so much more now than I did before I joined.

It sounds like you and your family are ready to take the plunge into the wonderful world of Goldens. Their are very knowledgeable breeders here that can help you with finding the best dog. Good luck and don't forget that it is mandatory for us to see pictures when you get your puppy!
