Hi, I live in CT and am looking for a reputable breeder in New England. I have had Goldens all my life and Eli, my 7 year old Golden, needs a pup tp play with. Can anyone recommend a breeder? Would love a blond boy but color isn't the priority. I would love some help!

I used this when trying to find a breeder. There are quite a few that have puppies available (mostly male). I would definitely make sure you check to see if the parents have all the clearances though because not all of them do.

Its nice because you can search based on how far you're willing to travel.

Lynne Paraskeva is the breeder I'm getting my pup from and I think she still has 2 or 3 that aren't spoken for.

I also know Lynne Gallagher (from Long Island) has puppies available and she is coming up to CT this weekend with her puppies.

Since you're not in a great hurry I definitely recommend Lynn Paraskeva. Right now she's getting ready to breed one of her dogs Blessing of Friends, beautiful girl with a great temperament. If I could have waited for her litter I probably would have. She is really organized, very selective because she cares so much for her dogs. I spent 3 hours there the other night talking to her about her dogs and breeding. She's really great.

The breed clubs in Connecticut are the Connecticut River Valley GRC and Southern Berkshire GRC. Nearby are Hudson Valley GRC and Yankee GRC. They all have websites and a member responsible for referring puppy inquiries. Good luck with your search.

My breeders are the puppy referral people for the Connecticut River Valley Golden Retriever Club. I know they are planning to have a litter around December. You can always call them, they are really good. Do all the clearances, are there all the way.
