Out in Wasilla but would love to meet other Golden owners. Have a year and half old Golden and almost 3 year old lab.

We are meeting tonight (Nov. 12) at the BLM at 68 th and Elmore at 6 pm. If you are interested, please come by. We'll be doing a 3 to 5 mile off leash walk and letting the pups run. Should be a lot of fun. Just remember to bring a headlamp! Should be at least 4 goldens. I know driving into town is a bit of a pain. Maybe we could head your way on a weekend?

I work on the slope and won't be back home till the 20th but another weekend I would love to.

I don't mind the drive if I meet some good people. You guys have a lot more organized dog parks out there than we do out here.

Yes we have a lot of parks in general compared to the Valley. Not sure exactly why. Anchorage actually has more parks per square mile than just about any other city in the US. We are very fortunate. Generally I don't do a lot of dog parks. There are other parks closer to my house. The BLM/Bi-Centennial Park/Chugach State Park area is about the best around and only a mile from my house. It would be easier for you to get to since it's on the east side of town, less driving. PM me with your information and I'll send you a note next time we meet up. Thanksgiving weekend when you are back from the slope might be a good time to meet. We like to do 3 to 10 miles off leash. Some hills. Dogs of all ages. Should be frosty (although not as frosty as the slope!). Let us know what you like to do. I bet Bailey has a lot of energy!

Sounds great, will shoot you a PM in a second. I have taken both mine to the park right by the airport (off Spenard) and the one behind the library, haven't been to any other ones.

And yes.. Bailey is my little ADD dog. My lab (3 years old) will be sound asleep and Bailey is still wanting to bounce off the walls. They are both great with other dogs and just love to play so the off leash walk would be great for them.
