| I am so sorry this happened to you and your girl. Many times when a Golden dies suddenly it is due to hemangiosarcoma, which sneaks up on you without warning. In May my dog showed some very subtle signs of illness, and when I took him to the vet I was told of this horrible diagnosis and given the choice of an emergency splenectomy or euthanasia. Of course I chose the splenectomy, but from what the doc saw it had metasticized and it was too late to do much of anything. I enjoyed one month with him before he passed. Had I not taken him to the vet that day, it is likely he wouldn't have made it through the day. Many are not as lucky as I to be given any notice, and their dogs simply die unexpectedly from undetected internal bleeding. It doesn't matter what the cause. It hurts no matter how or why. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that you were there with her when she passed, she was not alone. My deepest sympathies.

| I am sorry for your loss. This sounds like either a cardiac related event, ie SAS, or a hemangio. It is tragic.
