How to add larger photo to my posts?

If you don't like your pictures to be added in form of a thumbnail attachment, you can use our photo gallery to add a larger image to your posts.

Just follow these simple instructions:

1.) In our top navigational menu, click: Gallery > Upload New Picture

2.) Select the picture you want to upload and category into which to upload it, then press Submit button.

3.) Once uploaded, you will see a text box with the BB Image Code (located right below the picture). Take the whole link and paste it into your post.

That's it

I hope this is simple enough guide for everyone.

Joe

Thanks Joe, for clarifying that! I had problems yesterday, trying to post a picture of my Brody. I didn't realize that all I had to do was put the BB image code into my post! I uploaded my picture to Photobucket...and was missing part of the URL on it! Thankfully...someone kindly helped post it for which I was most appreciative! Thanks again.....sounds certainly easy enough...and will know next time to quit making it so difficult!

Yes, I was reading some of our previous guides on how to upload a picture and decided to try once again with some simple enough instructions
Anyhow, hopefully everyone will know how to upload a picture now...

Joe,
This didn't work for me the way your instructions said it will. I uploaded the pics but I did not get the image code anywhere on the screen. Also, after I uploaded the pics it took me the list of members names and I had to search the list to find my gallery. And, one of my pics is turned sideways, how do you fix that?

I'm so confused.

When you're in your own gallery, click on the picture you want, and it will open up all the info on that particular photo. That's where you'll find the image code.

As far as a picture being turned sideways....the only thing I can think of is that it's saved that way on your computer. I'll have to look more at your pictures...

Yes, the image is saved on your computer sideways.

I assume you have Windows XP -- if not, things get more complicated.

What you will need to do is find the picture on your computer, right click it, and then choose Rotate Clockwise or Rotate CounterClockwise. This can sometimes slightly reduce the quality of the image, so make a copy before trying this.

I don't remember if you have to install a tool or not to get those Rotate options -- if the options don't appear, install the tool I talk about in this post:

Posting a picture

Joe,

I followed these instructions yesterday for a posting (Introducting a puppy to a cat). The photo was there yesterday, but today it's gone. I thought I was within the size limits. What did I do wrong?
