Please don't go. I just read the thread that upset you. It wasn't a personal attack at all. Some of us just never heard of that.
For myself, this is the first puppy I've had, I'm used to adult dogs.

Stick around...PLEASE

How to unsubscribe to the GRF

There have been some threads lately where people got nasty but sharing how we do things with our Dogs is healthy discussion. I have learned so much from this forum. When I ask for help, I read what others do and decide what would be best for me and my dog. Its one thing to say I do things differently and another thing to say your way is wrong.

Click on your name..got to User CP (top) scroll down list on left side to Edit Options, check and un-check what you want to happen.

Unless you mean delete. I dont think you can. Try PM'ing a Mod, they may have an answer.

Faroutspacenut...about a week after I joined I felt the same way. I decided to go back to just reading for a bit and then only made a post here or there. Never offered advice and stayed away for the threads that could get mean.

There has been a lot of nasty threads here lately, but I don't think anyone meant any offense in the water one. Hope you stay around....

I mean no offense here, but sometimes people need to slow down and clear their head before getting upset about something they've read.

I looked because I'm snoopy... and I saw nothing mean in the comments made on that other thread.

When people are rude or attack other members, please report the posts. Every post has a "Report Post" button on the upper right side of its top bar. It's an octagon with an exclamation point in the center. That sends a message to every GRF moderator and administrator, so that we know to look at the post and determine what action is needed. We can't be everywhere all the time - there just aren't enough of us - so we rely on members to tell us when there are problems. We can and will stop inappropriate behavior, but only with your help.

To stop receiving email messages about threads you have subscribed to, go to the User Control Panel (User CP button on the dark brown bar at the top of the main page) and look to the left pane, where you'll find a link to List Subscriptions. Click that and you'll go to a list of all the threads you receive messages about. For each title, click the box to the right side in the Notifications pane and then make your choice from the menu next to Selected Threads in the dark brown bar under the thread listing. You can change the frequency of notifications or stop them altogether.

I don't see a way to simply resign, but I'll ask and let you know. Meanwhile, you can post to the "Suggestions, Feature requests & Messages From/To Admin" forum to request having your account closed. I hope you'll decide against that, but this will certainly get a response.

I think no matter where you go there will always be someone that doesn't realize their boundaries or maybe they don't think about it and just post comments. Just block the ones you don't like. I think this forum is amazing. They are a big part to why things went from a negative situation with my dog to a positive. Even though there was some nasty comments I know it comes from a good place.

As promised, I have investigated how to unsubscribe from the Forum. The simplest is follow the steps I described before to stop the GRF system from sending messages to you and then simply stay away. That leaves the account active, in case you want to come back later. The alternative is to request to be banned, which prevents use of the Forum. We don't like this option because it complicates life if you later decide that you want to be an active member again.

Please let any of the Moderators know if you need assistance. Our names appear in blue or purple in our posts and in the listing of active people that's at the bottom of the main page.

I do hope you change your mind and stay with us. I think everyone of us has had people not agree with our suggestions at one time or another. It happens. We all add value to the forum. At some point some opinion or piece of advice you give will help one of us (or many of us) and if you leave it won't happen.
