Exactly! I don't have a problem with peoples opinions I have a problem with people being nasty to people who make different choices then they would, or who come for help and get "fried"!!!!

Maybe it is just me, but the ignore button is there for you to do so quietly...not to announce to the entire forum that you have put someone on ignore, that defeats the purpose.

JMHO

When you add a member to your Ignore list, no one knows but yourself that you have done so unless you make a public announcement of it.

Exactly! There is no need for a public announcement, which is what the op did. When an announcement is made it is done to hurt another...why not just place them on ignore quietly?

Dreammom, I don't think the OP said she added a member to her Ignore List, just that she discovered the feature.

I agree, if a member announced that they had put a particular member on their Ignore List it would cause hard feelings, not to mention it would be inappropriate IMO.
