At times like these we must focus on the blessings and you are about to receive a whole bundle of blessings. Just as we have shared each other's pain I hope that you don't mind if I share in your joy too. Your little nugget has already started bringing in the sunshine after the rain

Pleased to hear that you are to have a new light in your life. I am sure that you will never forget the pain you have gone through,as none of us every really do, but the pleasure each one brings us throughout their lives is still undeniable.

I so understand not being ready to write. I have never posted much about my Sabrina, who died in my arms about seven years ago. I still tear up when I think about her last days, though mostly memories of her bring a smile. Maybe someday I will be able to tell her story. These days I watch Joker, now pushing 13, and it occurs to me that he is the last furry link to Sabrina, who raised him. In her last hours, he kept patient vigil with me, nursing her with all the gentle love a Golden can muster. Sorry...rush of tears...

Emotions all over the place - again!

Well tomorrow's the day - and up to this afternoon I was so excited and couldn't wait to get Ruby home. I have spent the last few hours cleaning and tidying and organising things for her - Now all I can think about is May and Alice. Cleaning the floors made me think of their favourite places to lie, brushing the patios, the same. Now I feel a mess. I just want to sob and bawl and I should be so happy.
Has anyone else felt like this?

Aww, I'm so happy that you get to bring your baby home tomorrow. I'm sure what your feeling isn't unusual at all. When we got Fozzie 9 months after our Gallagher had died, we felt like we were betraying him. I'm sure Alice and May will be there to watch over Ruby. Good Luck! We can't wait to see pictures!

This is very normal, Lyn, I have felt this. Try to think of it that bringing Ruby home is a tribute to May and Alice-that you loved them so much! It's because of them, that you're getting Ruby. I am SO HAPPY for you and I know they are, too!!

What time do you get Ruby Tomorrow?
