THanks everyone! There have been 2 changes since her last seizure. One, feeding her twice daily vs once. It was hard to get her used to twice a day, as she has never liked to eat that way, but after a few days she got the hang of it and actually started getting a little demanding..... ; ) Secondly, after her last seizure, the vet increased her phenobarb by 1/2 pill daily. It made sense, as she had gained a little weight. Her last blood test revealed that she is in perfect range, so hopefully I can keep her weight and blood levels even. She is her normal, happy go lucky self, so I am very grateful. Thanks again for all your good wishes and information. Hope everyone is happy and healthy. Cathy and Roxie

Well, once again I feel as if I have cursed my baby. No sooner did I write to say how well she was doing...... She has had 2 seizures tonight, 5 hours apart. Very odd, as all her other seizures have been between 4 and 6 a.m, and these were at 6:30 and 11:30pm. : ( I am so discouraged, and feel so badly for her. I'll call the vet first thing in the morning and see what he has to add to this. Thanks for all your support, it means a lot. Hope everyone else is seizure free and happy today. Cathy and Roxie

As you say - it's so discouraging when this happens. Every time we pick ourselves up and get our heads round what's happened, we hope it is for the last time. All I can say is that we understand, we've been there and we'll probably be there again. And no, as you know, it wasn't your fault. Hang on in there and let us know you both go on, Lyn

Hi everyone! Haven't checked in for a while, but have been thinking about you all and hoping that you are all having good, seizure free days. Roxie is having a seizure about every 3 to 6 weeks, but is her wonderful, playful self in between. So, we carry on..... Just wanted to wish all of you a VERY Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May 2013 be a great year for all of you and your pups! Cathy and Roxie
