Tippy, pay Barb a visit when the puppies are born...just looking won't hurt
HAHAHAHA! Yes, I'm sure I can visit a litter of puppies without bonding to any of them...

...you know you miss having Ojo around... you need another set of paws in the house.

Ha! I do miss Ojo. I'm going to try to steal him again this summer, though there's no specific training reason that he'd really need to be with us. It's just nice to have 3 around when I'm not working and can hike and train as a full time job. During the school year, I don't feel it would be fair to a pup to bring him into our schedule, and that's the hard and fast reason I can't take one on right now.

Now, if the litter were due in June, my excuses would start to evaporate real fast...

Well ya know, these pups probably won't be going home until June...

Preternaturally smart, mouthy Sunfire pups, retrieving leaves, independent but people focused, prey-driven enough that they'll come to you when you shuffle your feet and whistle, bright-eyed, beautiful fronts and movement, lovely heads, moderate, old-fashioned working Goldens...

I don't think visiting is a good idea. Given that I simply can't, in good conscience, take one right now, I'll just be heartbroken to see them in person.

You know, I was just doing the math...conceived recently, born early April, ready to go home at the beginning of June. When we got Jax, we'd drop him off at Andy's parents' house before work and Andy's mom would play with him all day until one of us got back from work. We made it from a March through a June that way, and Jax turned out just fine...

This pup would only have to do that schedule for a few weeks in June, tops. See? I rationalize really well!

It doesn't look like anyone else is needed to convince you.
