Help with a Name

We are keeping a female from our First litter, so the litter theme will be First.

We are thinking the name Sookie, after the Gilmore Girl's Sookie character. Sookie means a lily or a rose. She was the first born, and born Feb 16 - so Valentine's week. She will hopefully be the foundation of my daughter's line.

Marie, Brady, MacKenzie, Sailor, Kennedy and Junie

I really like Sookie! All I can think about is Trueblood when I hear it though lol Maybe First light for part of the registered name?

How about (stud name) First Love, call name Sookie? It honors the Valentines birth date.

Well, you might remember I had a 'first' litter but did not get to keep a puppy. I was going to call her Sprout but Sookie with the plant meaning would work to. If you'd like you are welcome to use it.

I'm always less concerned about making the call name fit the registered name... and more into themes that match the dog and refer to the parents.

Because the mom is Sailor - I'd be thinking more in that direction.

Rosy Skies Sailor's 1st Delight

... or something like that.

No ideas on name but I am so excited for you all - I was going to be sad if you didn't have one to keep. I hope you will continue to share photos, they are such beautiful puppies and it's so fun to see them grow up

When you have three teenage girls, there is a lot of indecisiveness, arguing and a lot of disagreeing. After going through hundreds of names everything has changed. The litter theme is the Numbers Litter - so any number can be used or a placement of a number First, Second etc.

Right now we have decided on the name Junie after the Junie B Jones children's books. She will be named after my daughters' favorite title Junie B First Grader ( At Last! ).

Claircrest First Grader ( At Last! )

Now, I am considered one of the breeders, since I co-own Sailor, but the litter is my breeders' and she owns the stud, it was a line breeding. We own Junie out right, and hopefully she will be the foundation of our lines. We have chosen the kennel name Keepsake, do we add it to her name, or do we wait for her puppies. If we add it,
we can have:

Claircrest Keepsake First Grader (At Last!)

or

Claircrest First Grader (At Last!) at Keepsake ( I don't like the two At's )

or maybe just

Claircrest Junie B. First Grader at Keepsake
