Noah Turns Two Today!

I wanted to recognize Noah's 2 year birthday here, since I didn't feel that celebrating his birthday on Facebook would be appropriate, given that I'm friends with his littermate's mom, who tragically lost Noah's brother last weekend, and thought it would be insensitive to celebrate while she's still grieving (I posted about this in the Rainbow Bridge forum). Though she did send me a private message on FB wishing Noah a Happy Birthday.

Noah and I drove back from NC today, after spending a week at my parents' home. My mom had hip replacement surgery on Tuesday. She's doing great with her recovery - a little too well, because she thinks she can do more than she should be doing, and I felt like a parent coming around a corner and going "WHAT are you doing???" several times! LOL

Noah was pretty spoiled, getting his own bed in my room:

One of my friends was concerned he looked too thin, so took a few pictures outside of my folks' house yesterday - he's maintaining at 65/66 lbs. Right where I and our vet want to keep him.

We moved in June, and since then were busy with dock diving, where when he entered his very first competition, he won first place in his division!

You can tell he absolutely HATES dock diving! LOL

Here's the birthday boy with his birthday cookie this evening!

Hi to all the new folks we haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, and hi to all our old friends! I hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Birthday, Noah! It looks like you had a great weekend. Love the photos - Shala loves dock diving, too. It's so fun, isn't it?

I'm so sorry about Noah's sibling's death. It must have been a really hard day for his people. I can't imagine losing such a young dog.

Thanks everyone! One more of Noah's presents arrived today - a new feeder, by a guy on Etsy who makes these feeders to order. The workmanship is amazing! This is Walnut/Maple/Bamboo. The camera doesn't really do it justice, but it's really a work of art (and love).

I'm a little late to this party, but, did wish Noah a happy birthday on Facebook. Great to see that the both of you are doing so well! I hope he has another successful year of dock diving! I can't wait to hear all about your upcoming adventures... and hope to see you posting a little more often again. Missed you guys! Happy Birthday Noah!!
