Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I have been on this forum. A lot has happened. When I first became a member I was a proud mom of 2 golden puppies, Ted E Bear and Isabella. They were litter mates and beautiful puppies. They grew into beautiful dogs. Both were trained to be therapy dogs. Sadly Ted passed away from osteosarcoma at the age of 5. He left a huge hole in the family. Isabella and I continued the training and the two of us became pet partners. We never went anyplace to formally do therapy, but we touched many people in our travels.

Five months passed and another golden came into our lives. A beautiful 4 month old pup needed a home and we were just the home who needed him. Isabella trained him very well in the ways of the home. He was just what we needed. Mulligan is a joy.

Fast forward to December 2016, my husband and I have retired and downsized. We sold our house, downsized to a cottage. Cold weather hit, and moved into our 5th wheel and are traveling in the south. Mulligan is traveling with us as we lost Isabella this fall. The three of us are on an adventure this winter and we have no idea where the adventure will take us.

So far we have been in NY, PA, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA and now AL. We will be in AL for 2 months, then who knows for the rest of the winter.

Sorry to hear about the passing of two of your dogs. Excited for your travels with Mulligan. I say go all in and drive across the country to California for the winter!

Just a suggestion; start a thread of your travels with Mulligan and update with a new pic from every state you visit!

Safe travels.

So sorry about the passing of your two pups. I, too, have just returned to the forum myself after about a 5-year absence. Things sure are different around here from what I remember! Our 7-year-old Golden, Tyson, was diagnosed with mast cell cancer back in July. The vet and oncologist didn't think he'd live more than 2-3 weeks, but he's still here and is doing very well. We are doing strictly holistic treatment and it seems to be working very well for him. Tucker, our first Golden who was just a pup when I joined this forum many years ago, will be 9 next year. So hard to believe! He may be totally white in the face, but he still acts like a pup. We just welcomed a new pup into our lives a few weeks ago, Camden. He will be our very first show dog, so we are very excited about the adventures that await with him.

It's good to see another "old timer" here! I've been away for so long and there are so many new people on this forum. I don't recognize very many names! :)

So sorry to hear of your loss.

Sounds like you are off on a great adventure with Mulligan, yes please, a photo in each place you visit!

He looks adorable as well!!! They crack me up when the "fall off their beds" like that - Gunner does it often so did our Bailey.

Thank you for your kind words. I think I will start a thread about Mulligan's travels. We have a few pictures of him so far, so that will get me started.

Thanks again.
