| Copley, LibertyMe, Finn, Tally, Winniekid, and Lush hit NYC Last week, LibertyMe and Winniekid helped me take the four goldens to Long Island and Midtown Manhattan. Ericka and I drove to the Port Jefferson Ferry from Maine, and took it over the water to LI with the four goldens a heartbeat before Blizzard Nemo. After the show there and a fun time in a cool hotel with a great courtyard, we traveled on to the Affinia Hotel for Westminster, and took the four goldens on a city tour every day, to Time Square for their Daily Stay practice, and through the throngs and crowds and seemingly suicidal pigeons who kept landing right at their paws. Later Tippy Kayak and Indya joined us too. We were definitely the country kids hitting the Big Apple, but I was so proud of the dogs for their bomproof good manners and lack of stress, even with the subway roaring under foot. Every block was its own CGC test! I have to give Copley a special shout out, bc he had to ride the elevator up and down from the 24th floor of our hotel with dog people, a pekinese, a toddler, and all the models from fashion week crammed into him, and he just sat with a kindly look on his face and let them squeal over him and grab him, kiss his face and poke him while the elevator lurched. What a good boy!  Finn had the best time of everyone. He was a puppy in New Haven CT, and remembered urban life very well. He flew his tail like a flag, and wagged at everyone on the streets. Though Lush is young and had blown her coat(Murphy's law of hitting enter), she had a grand experience at Westminster Finally, Graeme Burdon is in amazing handler who can truly put on a master class:   Goldens with Winniekid in the hotel  Finn in the hotel with Tippykayak, who he has known and loved all his long life:  Lushie relaxing with LibertyMe:

| That's so awesome how well the pups did in NYC!! I used to live there for 12 years, mostly during the 1980s, and the crowds are unbelievable. 10 paws UP for them all!

| I grew up in NYC and there is something about seeing the dogs there that make it so much more human and kind. Your kids did wonderfully, I think Sadie would have been too busy trying to pick all the scraps of paper and food on the streets to listen much. Edit for PS - nice how the hotel room colors are shades of gold
