It was -9 this morning when we took our first walk. The dogs don't mind it.
Ky would stay outside all day in that temp if I let her (I don't) but Bentley can't take it as long as she can. After about 20 minutes he's ready to come in and warm up. Ky just rolls her eyes at him

Freezing weather

It's been the same here in TC as well. We just layered up and covered and took Diesel for a 2 mile walk. It didn't seem to bother him in the least! He ran and played and rolled in the snow. I just watch for signs of discomfort from him I.e. lifting his paw off the ground when he stops and licking at his feet. I try not to keep him out in it for too long but he needs some kind of outlet at the same time otherwise we would both go nuts 😊

chester seems to love the cold. i took him for a walk this morning and usually when the sun is bright he would run back inside with me but today i had to give him a pull and a treat of course for him to actually come inside. were getting ready for a cold storm apparently.

We're having a real cold spell this week but Zoe doesn't seem to notice. For some reason I thought it might be a good day for the dog park, the ground is frozen but not much snow or ice. A strong wind was blowing and only a very few hearty souls there. Zoe found a couple of friends to chase with and was having a great time till I just couldn't stand the cold anymore.

Yea, we haven't missed walks yet from the cold but with -30 degree windchills this morning I just didnt feel that was safe for either of us. If it is single digits and abvoe I will go and now I know that is normal!

Feeling great! Will be 20 weeks this week (officially halfway) but still enjoying this 2nd trimester where I feel more like myself than I had in months! It's going good - not big enough to be uncomfortable but finally showing enough where I dont look like I am just stacking on some pounds! We find out next Thursday what we are having too - I am soo excited for that! Thanks for asking!!!

Thanks for the link. That explains why Bella is able to walk across the ice rink when it's -15 F without showing an ounce of discomfort. This is something that has fascinated me all winter.
