I'm filming a documentary about this program New Leash on Life USA and a segment is being used in a competition to raise money for them (none for me). If their entry gets the most votes they can win $250,000 in support. Which prisons?

Right now the program is at Alternative & Special Detention.

I will def vote when I'm next on my computer. Have to get onto Facebook.

I think these programs are terrific for all--dogs and inmates.

Having a Golden (Hogan) that went through such a program out in Ohio I know how much they can help a dog have a much better chance at being adopted.

is this a program to train service dogs or to train dogs for adoption?

It's a program to train dogs from Resuce Groups and area Shelters basic obedience so they have a greater chance of being adopted.

My state has several of these programs, wonderful programs, win win for the Rescues, Shelters and prisoners.

There is a Women's Prison by me that raises puppies to be law enforcement dogs- Bomb and Drug detection- I think!

Very interesting, I worked as a DP for discovery channel for many years back in the mid 90s.

I also had shot " beyond the myth " you can see It on Netflix..
