Well, my vet's guess for her mom was probably a border collie by the looks of her ears, shape of face and size. For her dad, my vet thinks he was a golden retriever based on the way her coat and tail look. That would explain why she looks so similar to Chester. She is basically the same cross as him, just in reverse. According to my vet, puppies usually get their size from their mothers. Chester's mom was a Golden, so he the broader face and larger size like the Goldens. Interesting.....

I guess a DNA test would tell us for sure, but for now I'll call her another Golden mix like Chester

Just for the sake of knowing for sure (not the results matter), but curiosity would get the better of me and would do the DNA.

Regardless.. They are beautiful!

She is a lovely girl. The vet seems to be right on. I wouldn't waste money on the DNA test. Wisdom Panel DNA test, twice, said my 30 lb, 16 in tall solid black dog is a Saint Bernard/Labrador mix.
